Spending Time
A couple of days ago I went out to my daughter’s (she lives on a few acres out of town) to play with my grandchildren and the horses. She has 3 horses altogether, but one is a yearling colt, so we are getting him ‘user-friendly’. He is a purebred Morgan horse and is coming along nicely. The Morgans are very intelligent, friendly and kind horses. They are great all-rounders and are very good ‘doers’ which means that they don’t need stacks of food to stay in good condition.
I am going out to the ‘farm’ a couple of times a week at the moment while the colt is still young and needing to learn things.
Being able to do this sort of thing is just one of the benefits of a home-based business. I always have time flexibility – so different to when I was working 8.30 – 5.00! I really would NOT like to go back to that. I remember what life was like then – I felt like a mouse on a wheel, just going around and around. There seemed to be very little time – or energy! – for anything else. So glad those days are behind me.
