Before I show you where to submit your feeds, I want to explain to you how you can find more feeds that belong to you, so you can gain even more web exposure and backlinks to your blog or website.  You can then submit all your feeds to the RSS sites together.

Every piece of content that you have up on the web should have an RSS feed which you need to get hold of and make a list of –

  • Major article directories
  • Your video channels
  • Your social bookmarking sites
  • Blogs
  • Websites

By increasing the backlinks to the pages or sites that link to you brings more traffic your way, and that’s what you want!  It also increases the value of your sites.

You can get your RSS feeds from article directories such as Articles Base, Idea Marketers, Go Articles, and Ezine Articles.  Here is how to get your feed from Ezine Articles: -

Where I have my name, replace with the one you have used at Ezine Articles –

http://feeds.ezinearticles.com/expert/Valerie_Eldridge.xml

So yours would look like this –

http://feeds.ezinearticles.com/expert/Your_Name.xml

Make sure your first and last name are capitalized and that you have a _ in between

To get your author’s RSS feed from Articles Base, once you have an article published there you will find in your Author Box an option to ‘Subscribe to RSS’ – if you hover your mouse over this link, you will find the information in the bottom status bar on your browser.  If you check out other article directories where you have posted articles, you will be able to find your feeds in a similar fashion.

Social Bookmarking Sites –

To find your Amplify feed, for example, log in to your account and go to My Amplify.  On the right-hand side, next to the search box, is the RSS icon.  Hover over this and your feed will show in your bottom status bar.  Here is a video to show you where to find your feed on Mister Wong:-

You will be able to find feeds for other social bookmarking sites that you are a member of in a similar way.

Copy all the feeds you have for your own content, including the Feedburner feed you made earlier, and paste them all into a document (Word or Notepad, or OneNote, etc.) so that you have them all handy.

In the next post, I will show you what you need to do with all these feeds.  See you then!

P.S.   Just a reminder that what I am teaching you here is very basic stuff.  To market successfully on the internet there is much more that you can, and should know.
