About

Hi, my name is Valerie Eldridge.  I live in Western Victoria, Australia, where I was born and grew up.  I am a mother – I had four beautiful children – and a grandmother to eight little ones under 9 years of age, at the time of this writing.  My ‘grandies’ call me “Mamie” because, as a ‘babyboomer’, when my first grandchild was born, I had trouble accepting the fact that I was old enough to be a grandmother.  I was, of course, but apparently the desire for eternal youth is inherent in baby boomers!  Anyway, I couldn’t come at the idea of being called ‘Grandma’ or ‘Nanna’ or ‘Granny’ (I knew those ladies and they were all old!), so I came up with the name ‘Mamie’.

My marriage began to fracture at quite an early stage, until finally, after 30 years, it disintegrated altogether.  That was several years ago and I am very happy and content in my life now.  I have plans for my life and goals to achieve, dreams and desires to pursue.  My life is full to overflowing and I am grateful for all its gifts.

I have done administrative work all my life since leaving school, always working for other people.  When I became a divorcee and our family assets were divided, I found that I really had very little behind me, so I turned my attention to multi-level marketing with a well-established health and weight-loss company.  At the time I was working full-time and trying to work MY business at nights and weekends.  The products were great, but the marketing system was ‘old school’ and extremely inadequate for someone with limited time and a small budget.

I was pursuing bought leads, only to find that the vast majority didn’t convert.  Those that did purchase any products only did so if I rang them each month for their order, and then they didn’t always purchase.  My phone bill was going through the roof and I was getting tired and frustrated.  I had a company website, also, with a ‘back office’ and training calls, etc, but no-one ever taught me how to market online.  Perhaps they didn’t know.  I did some pay-per-click advertising, but that almost bankrupted me, too.  The Return On Investment, for me, was negative.  The fact was, I didn’t know enough about it at the time, and no-one was teaching me.  After about 12 months, I pulled the plug on that venture and licked my wounds for a couple of years.

However, when the recession hit in 2008, my Superannuation  – like everybody else’s – got slashed by about half (there wasn’t much of it to start with!), so all the plans I had for its use became ‘non events’ and as I had retired by then, I had a decision to make.  I could either learn to live on Social Security for the rest of my life, or I could do something to make some money.  I took a long, hard, look at the idea of returning to work for someone else, and figured that it would be a long, slow, way just to recuperate the money I had lost from my Superannuation.  Maybe it wasn’t possible at all.  Besides, I really didn’t want to work 38 or 40 hours a week, anymore, either.

So, I started searching online.  I knew that the internet was the way forward into the future, with more and more people using it for all sorts of reasons, including making purchases.  I also knew that it has incredible leverage, both in terms of time and in sales potential, so that perhaps I wouldn’t have to give up on my plans, goals, dreams and desires, after all.

I tried several ‘opportunities’ which didn’t fulfill my expectations, but I did learn a lot in the process about marketing online.  Eventually, I came to the conclusion that, while I could get all the pieces of the puzzle in their proper place eventually on my own, it hadn’t happened yet, in 18 months, so what I needed, to speed things up, was a marketing system.  I came across Carbon Copy Pro and was impressed by the caliber of the people involved with it and with WMI.  After doing due diligence I became a member and am now part of a group of savvy, and successful, online entrepreneurs.

If you can relate to my story and want to find out more about the company, the business plan, the training, and the people, click on the link at the right.  If your application is accepted, you will be given additional information on which to base a sound decision.
